چکیده

Flavonoids are phytochemicals present in medicinal plants and contribute to human health. Coreopsis tinctoria , a species rich flavonoids, has long been used traditional medicine as food resource. N (nitrogen) fertilization can reduce flavonoid accumulation C. . However, there is limited knowledge regarding regulatory mechanisms. The aim of this study was determine the effect availability on biosynthesis investigate relationship between C (carbon) metabolism coupled with synthesis under controlled conditions. seedlings were grown hydroponically five different levels (0, 0.625, 1.250, 2.500 5.000 mM). related indexes C, variation measured analysed. (low moderate levels) regulates enzyme activities metabolism, promotes carbohydrates, reduces metabolite levels, enhances internal C/N balance. content roots stalks remained relatively stable, while that leaves peaked at low or intermediate levels. closely phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), cinnamate 4-hydroxylase (C4H), 4-coumarate: coenzyme A ligase (4CL), chalcone-thioase (CHS) activity, significantly positively correlated carbohydrates negatively metabolites. Thus, not only control distribution amino acid carbohydrate pathways but also change pathways, which provides meaningful information for maintaining high yields ensuring nutritional value crop plants.

Depth of nitrogen fertiliser placement affects nitrogen accumulation, translocation and nitrate-nitrogen content in soil of rainfed wheat

A field experiment was conducted to examine the effects of different depths ofnitrogen (N) fertiliser placements on N accumulation, remobilisation and NO3−-Ncontent in soil of rainfed wheat. Nitrogen was applied on the surface (D1) and inthe 10 cm (D2), 20 cm (D3) and 30 cm (D4) soil layers from 2010 to 2012.Compared with D1 and D2, D3 and D4 treatments obtained significant higher Ndistribution...

Carbon Accumulation during Photosynthesis in Leaves of Nitrogen- and Phosphorus-Stressed Cotton.

Leaves of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) accumulate considerable dry mass per unit area during photosynthesis. The percentage of C in that accumulated dry mass was estimated as the regression coefficient (slope) of a linear regression relating C per unit area to total dry mass per unit area. Plants were grown on full nutrients or on N- or P-deficient nutrient solutions. In the fully nourished c...

Carbon, Nitrogen and Phosphorus Accumulation and Partitioning, and C:N:P Stoichiometry in Late-Season Rice under Different Water and Nitrogen Managements

Water and nitrogen availability plays an important role in the biogeochemical cycles of essential elements, such as carbon (C), nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P), in agricultural ecosystems. In this study, we investigated the seasonal changes of C, N and P concentrations, accumulation, partitioning, and C:N:P stoichiometric ratios in different plant tissues (root, stem-leaf, and panicle) of late-...

Maize source leaf adaptation to nitrogen deficiency affects not only nitrogen and carbon metabolism but also control of phosphate homeostasis.

Crop plant development is strongly dependent on the availability of nitrogen (N) in the soil and the efficiency of N utilization for biomass production and yield. However, knowledge about molecular responses to N deprivation derives mainly from the study of model species. In this article, the metabolic adaptation of source leaves to low N was analyzed in maize (Zea mays) seedlings by parallel m...

Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase in Arabidopsis Leaves Plays a Crucial Role in Carbon and Nitrogen Metabolism.

Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC) is a crucial enzyme that catalyzes an irreversible primary metabolic reaction in plants.Previous studies have used transgenic plants expressing ectopic PEPC forms with diminished feedback inhibition to examine the role of PEPC in carbon and nitrogen metabolism. To date, the in vivo role of PEPC in carbon and nitrogen metabolism has not been analyzed in pla...
